Most people comparing these two run classes. Maybe you're on Momence and the card fees have started to stand out on your statement, or you're adding appointments or a sauna next to your timetable. Either way, you want to know what you'd gain and what you'd give up.
Here's the short version. If you run a class timetable, Momence does more of that than Corterra Book. Clients pick their spot and join a waitlist, and it has on-demand video and teacher substitutions as add-ons. Corterra Book costs less once you're taking real money, because Momence's card rate is about a point higher on everything you sell. It also fits better when classes share the calendar with appointments, or with a room several people book at once.
I make Corterra Book, so I'm not neutral here. Momence's prices come from the pricing form on its site, in August 2026, and the rest from its help center, checked in September 2026. They're regular prices, not introductory offers. The full tier breakdown is in how much Momence costs, and if you're also looking at Mindbody, that's in Momence vs Mindbody.

What it costs at your size
Here are the same two businesses I priced in my other Momence posts, with every card payment taken online. The totals include card processing, since that's where the two differ most.
| Corterra Book, 1 person | Momence, 1 person | Corterra Book, studio of 3 | Momence, studio of 3 | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Card payments a month | $8,000 across 100 payments | $8,000 across 100 payments | $15,000 across 150 payments | $15,000 across 150 payments |
| Plan | $40 (Basic) | $199 (Business) | $80 (Pro) | $199 (Business) |
| Texting clients | Not counted | Not counted | $30 | Add-on, price not published |
| Card processing, all online | $277 (2.9% plus 45 cents) | $342 (3.9% plus 30 cents) | $502.50 | $630 |
| Total a month | $317 | $541 | $612.50 | $829 plus texting |
Corterra Book costs $224 a month less for the solo practice, and $216.50 less for the studio before Momence's texting add-on. Almost all of the difference is card processing.
The gap grows with you. Here's a busier studio taking $40,000 a month across 500 payments.
| Corterra Book | Momence | |
|---|---|---|
| Card payments a month | $40,000 across 500 payments | $40,000 across 500 payments |
| Plan | $80 (Pro) | $199 (Business) |
| Texting clients | $30 | Add-on, price not published |
| Card processing, all online | $1,385 | $1,710 |
| Total a month | $1,495 | $1,909 plus texting |
That's $414 a month less on Corterra Book, again before Momence's texting add-on. These tables price every payment as an online one. Payments taken in person cost less on both: 2.7% plus 20 cents on Corterra Book, and 3.7% plus 5 cents on Momence.
Momence's $60 Individual plan is cheaper on subscription, but its page only promises no service charge on the $199 plan, so that's the one I've priced. On Momence's free plan, the solo practice would pay $720 to $1,062 a month in fees. None of these tables count membership renewals, which Corterra Book processes at 3.2% plus 30 cents.
What you give up for the lower bill is spot booking and a waitlist, plus Momence's add-ons. If those are how you fill your classes, the savings may not be worth it.
Classes and booking
Momence has more of the class tools. Corterra Book puts classes, appointments and shared rooms on one calendar.
- Both let clients book classes online, and both handle appointments next to your classes. On Corterra Book you repeat a class by date range or by picking the dates.
- Momence lets clients pick their spot, like a specific reformer, and join a waitlist when a class is full. Corterra Book has neither.
- On Corterra Book, one booking can hold several people, and each guest gets a link to fill in their own details. On Momence, a member can bring a guest with a guest pass.
- If you're adding a sauna or cold plunge where several people book the same hour, Corterra Book gives that room a seat count that goes down as people book, with no timetable needed. Momence's classes have a seat count too, but each class runs at one set time. For a room people book or walk into all day, you'd be creating a class for every half hour. One shared room works on Corterra Book's $40 plan. Running several rooms on their own calendars takes the $80 Pro plan. More on that in sauna booking software.
- Momence sells on-demand video, and its teacher substitutions add-on texts your subs and updates their pay rate. Corterra Book has neither.
- On Corterra Book, clients can cancel from their confirmation email and book a new time, inside the cancellation window you set. If you cancel one class date, everyone booked on it is told.
Getting paid
This is where Corterra Book comes out ahead, and the gap grows with you.
- Momence charges 3.9% plus 30 cents online and 3.7% plus 5 cents in person, on every plan. Corterra Book charges 2.9% plus 45 cents online and 2.7% plus 20 cents in person. That's close to a point less on everything you sell.
- Momence's free plan adds a 5% transaction fee and a 4% service fee. Below about $700 a month in card payments it's cheaper than Corterra Book's $40 plan, and you should hear that from me. Above about $2,200 to $4,000 a month, it costs more than Momence's own $199 plan.
- Momence also takes direct debit from a bank account at 1.8%, and it runs payment plans.
- Both keep a card on file and let you charge a no-show fee. Corterra Book can require a card on file or the full price at booking, but it can't take a partial deposit.
- Corterra Book's card reader asks for a tip, including on visits a membership or package already covers. It also handles split payments and records cash, Venmo or checks alongside cards.
Memberships and packages
Both sell memberships and class packs, and clients can buy them online on both.
On Momence, clients buy memberships, class packs and intro offers in the same checkout they book in. On Corterra Book, you turn on the online shop and clients buy memberships, packages and gift cards on their phone, one item at a time. The booking page links to it. For an intro offer, you can limit an item to one per customer or to new customers only. Everything can still be sold at the front desk.
Here's what a Corterra Book membership can do, so you can check it against what you run on Momence:
- Bill it monthly or yearly
- Limit visits per month, like eight classes a month, or eight visits across two services
- Make some services members-only, or give members a discount
- Share one membership across a family, or include bring-a-friend passes
- Pause it, change the billing day, or refund a charge from the member's page
- Give one member a different renewal price than the rest
Members can update their own card when a renewal fails, so you're not chasing them for it. Membership renewals are processed at 3.2% plus 30 cents. Gift cards are on both Corterra Book plans and Momence's $199 plan.
Forms and check-in
Waivers and intake forms are included on both Corterra Book plans. Momence doesn't list forms on its pricing page, so ask what's included on the plan you'd use.
On Corterra Book, clients sign online before their first visit, or on an iPad at check-in on the Pro plan. One form can cover several services, so a new client signs one waiver for classes and the sauna. Self check-in on an iPad is part of the $80 Pro plan.
Finding new clients
Momence has more tools here, but most of them are add-ons without a published price.
- Spotfiller sends last-minute offers by text or push to fill empty spots, including to your waitlist. It's a well-made tool.
- Email and text marketing, lead forms, review requests and referrals are all add-ons, and Momence doesn't publish what they cost. Marketing and leads also come with the Custom plan, which is quoted and needs an annual contract.
Corterra Book has no marketplace, no review requests, no referral program and no lead forms. There's no website builder either, but if you don't have a site, the Business Page gives you one public page with your About, services and hours that search engines can find.
Corterra Book is built around keeping the clients you already have. You get promo codes and links that apply a discount and pick the service, you can email an offer to one client, and you can put an announcement on your booking page. On Pro, you can email groups of clients, like everyone who hasn't been in for two months, and see how much each email brought back.
For your existing clients, Corterra Book's AI assistant does a lot of what Spotfiller does. You connect an AI you already use, like Claude, and ask it which classes are running light next week. It finds them and the clients who usually book on those days, and on Pro it drafts the email and sends it once you approve. It sends email, not texts or push notifications. It's in early access, so ask me and I'll turn it on. We don't charge for it right now. If you'd rather do it by hand, I wrote up how to fill empty class spots.
Which one fits
Corterra Book is probably the better fit if:
- You take more than a few thousand dollars a month in card payments
- Your classes share the calendar with appointments, or with a sauna or cold plunge several people book at once
- You want every price published before you sign up
- You'd like someone to move your data over for you
Stay on Momence if:
- You need spot booking or a waitlist
- You sell on-demand video or use teacher substitutions
- You take less than about $700 a month in card payments, where the free plan is the cheapest option
If you do switch, moving over is free. Momence includes onboarding and migration only on its quoted Custom plan. You can import your client list yourself from a spreadsheet, or send it to me and I'll do it for you. If you have memberships or packages running, I'll help you set those up too. Saved cards don't move between payment processors, so members add their card again. The 15 day free trial lets you set up your own classes and see how they look before you move anything.
